August SMART talks on Biosensing Using Nanomaterials

Biosensors are growing in importance and can be used for quick detection and as point-of-care sensors. During the presentation, Dr. Gupta has talked about nanomaterial-based biosensors for detection of different analytes like SARS-COV2, glucose, THC, pressure, etc. These biosensors are 3D printed using aerosol jet printing and can be integrated with quick readout circuitry to give an indication of the results. She also presented results from the group’s 2D material nanopores research for detection of single molecules.
